Cavedon’s kilnhouse, named after the Italian Cavedon family and former owners of the farm, features 2 separate living spaces, each contained within separate kilns moved from the original farm.

Sitting on the verandah of the cottage one has a clear view of Mt Feathertop, Mt Hotham and Mt Bogong which are spectacular all year round. At night the stars are clear and feel incredibly close to you, so great for star gazing.

Approximately an 8 minute drive from the centre of Bright where there are plenty of quaint shops, restaurants, supermarkets and pubs for you to explore and enjoy. A little further afield is a 35 minute trip to Mt Beauty, or 45 minutes to Mt Hotham for a days skiing in the winter or 60 minutes to Mt Buffalo where the kids can play in the snow or bush walk in the warmer months.

Access to the Ovens river for fishing, swimming or relaxing is only a 2 minute car drive, short walk or an easy bike ride. Also, an easy bike ride into Bright for bike enthusiasts.

OUTDOORS
Guests have access to secure bike storage so bring your wheels and explore the valley and surrounding trails. The gardens at these units have been admired for many years and continue to be beautifully maintained for your enjoyment regardless of the season.

PET POLICY
The securely fenced area is perfect for your pet to enjoy the holiday with you however please clean up after your dog or a fee will be charged. There is a gate from the yard that leads to the communal area shared by all four properties. NOTE: At NO time can your pet be left alone at the property so please ensure you have someone to dog sit if you plan on heading out.

LAUNDRY
European style laundry with Fisher & Paykel washing machine and Simpson dryer. Please note to use the communal washing line at the rear of Unit 4 whenever possible.

The combustion fireplace is big enough to heat the whole house during the cold winter nights. Additional firewood can be purchased at local supermarkets and service stations.
